In our schools parents and carers of the younger children (Reception, Year1 and 2) are encouraged to leave their children at the front doors/gates, where staff will be their to support good relationships and communication with families.

Teachers are always happy to talk to parents and carers about specific issues or concerns before school but please bear in mind that lessons start at 9.00am.

By the time children reach Year 3, they are beginning to become more independent and therefore can be dropped off at the school entrance by 8.50am. There will be a member of staff in the classroom at all times. If there are certain occasions when you know you will need to drop your child earlier than this please arrange this with the class teacher.  We try to be as flexible as possible but this needs to be arranged on an individual basis.

Parents and Carers are able to meet their children from the front playground at the end of the school day at 3.15pm.  Year 1/2 are to be collected from the main front door and R/Yr1 children are to be collected from the classroom door.

We expect children to be in school on time and to be collected on time as we believe this gives them a good message about being punctual and respectful of other people’s time.

Children are not permitted to play ball games, ride bikes or skate on the premises before or after school unless this is part of a planned activity.
