Safeguarding and Child Protection

We take safeguarding very seriously in our schools and are fully committed to ensuring that our children and families get the support they need, when they need it in order for them to flourish and develop effective relationships. Our amended Safeguarding Policy outlines our practice fully and in the following pages there is more information about how to support children. This has been updated in light of the current Corona virus pandemic.

Remember, please come in and let us know if you need any support of any kind. Lydia Board is the Designated Safeguarding Lead in school, with Josie Davenport and Sam Bloomfield as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. Mrs Alison Maskery is the governing Safeguarding Lead.

If you need assistance outside of school hours, at a weekend or during a school holiday you can contact the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) 24 hours a day. You can do this via their website at: by telephone: 0808 800 5000, by text: 88858 or by email:

Our schools are part of Operation Encompass which means that we are notified if any of our families or children are involved in or witness any incidents of domestic abuse.  This is to enable the police to pass on information that will enable school to give timely support to both families and children.

If you think a child is in immediate danger do not delay: CALL 999 straight away.
